1. TOYOTA NEWCOMER ACTIVITIES

@Toyota Motor Thailand 2014
Designed for new Toyota employees to build contacts and learn the basics of Toyota company systems. Because of its size, Toyota has many areas that new employees have to be familiar with prior to beginning their jobs. Some of these include the concept of Toyota ways, Toyota history, welfare benefits and office systems. In these workshops, newcomers were set up as groups in order to participate in projects and games. Newcomers would help each other in creating projects and solving problems. By doing so, they got to better know each other by encountering and solving problems as a team. Teamwork and the interaction between departments is the main concept of Toyota. Therefore, newcomer contact is extremely important. Following the event, I was able to forge many lasting friendships with department members that aided me in my job and personal life.
Toyota Newcomer Workshops

@Orphanage 2014
Designed as a way to give back to the community, time and food was shared with orphans. Newcomers teamed with orphans in the planting of trees at their dorm.
Newcomer Volunteers

@Suvitawong camp 2014
Following the workshop, newcomers were required to join this camp held outside of the company. They lived together at the camp for three days. Many activities were held to build relationships. These included playing games, sports and singing karaoke. Company culture was also taught by Toyota seniors. They helped to impart their wisdom relating to problems encountered on the job. Their opinions and experiences were very valuable to all newcomers.
Newcomer Camp

@Toyota Motor Thailand 2015
As a company with many head offices, Toyota initiated a one-year reunion designed to unite employees. It was a good opportunity for newcomers to meet and share experiences, good and bad and how to deal with problem solving. I applied what I learned to my work and then it motivated me to improve my job performance.

2. TOYOTA WAYS WORKSHOP
2. TOYOTA WAYS WORKSHOP

@Toyota Motor Thailand 2015
The Toyota Way is built on two pillars: Continuous Improvement, which incorporates the concepts of Challenge, Kaizen (continuous improvement) and Genchi Genbutsu (going to see the sources), and Respect for People, which embraces Respect and Teamwork.
Toyota incorporates the fundamental values and business methods called “ TOYOTA WAYS”. This is the base knowledge that all employees need to possess at Toyota. At this seminar, five days were spent learning the concepts of Toyota ways and their application in the workplace. All employees must pass an exam for certification to ensure they can apply Toyota ways to the workplace. This was a guiding principle for my job. It was an amazing and useful method.
3. DESIGN REVIEW WORKSHOP

with Toyota Motor Asia Pacific 2014, 2015 and 2016
Toyota has exclusive car models around Asia Pacific. The companies have new design parts for those models. Cooperation within Asia Pacific for the problems that occurred with new design parts was necessary. Toyota Motor Asia Pacific held a seminar once a year and I attended for three years. It was a useful way to share design processes and problems that were encountered. It helped prevent further problems. It was also a good way for Toyota companies in Asia Pacific to share their designs of exclusive domestic models in order to adapt to new trends. It was beneficial to build up contacts with designers from different countries and share production problems that were encountered and arrive at solutions.
4. TOYOTA BUSINESS PRACTICE SEMINAR

@ Toyota Motor Thailand 2016
Toyota Business Practice (TBP) is method of improving company business. After employees are promoted to the senior level, they are required to join the Toyota Business Practice seminar and apply the methods learned to solving problems encountered at work. General managers in all departments are the trainers. They evaluate and approve the TBP paper to make sure that it is applied correctly by employees.
TBP has eight steps to be followed:
1. Clarify the problem
2. Breakdown the problem
3. Set a target
4. Analyze the root cause
5. Develop countermeasures
6. See countermeasures through
7. Evaluate both results and process
8. Standardize successful processes.
This seminar taught me the concepts of TBP. I was better able to understand it after I applied it with the real work problems. My general manager helped me understand the concept and how to apply the method in the workplace correctly. I found it to be a very useful method to solve any problems I had to deal with at work.
5. PRODUCT PLANNING DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY
Product Planning department is comprised of 43 employees and is responsible for the managing of new projects of exclusive car models. As the only female and youngest team member, my teammates always shared their experiences and assisted me with my projects. Four department activities were held each year to build relationships. These 4 activities included PP Workshop, PP Family Day, Sport Day and New Year Party.

It is held in a camp in the suburbs. It provides a way for employees to interact and share work experiences.
PP WORKSHOP

Sport Day was designed as a method for PP member to release energy after a hard days work. The sports played depended on the time of year. Aside from the health benefits, this activity helped us to build relationships and provided enjoyment outside of work environment.
SPORT DAY

PP Family Day would also be held to allow families to join in the activities. Families would all reside at the same hotel or resort. It enabled families to get to know each other better and spend time together.
PP FAMILY DAY

A New Year’s Party was an event that allowed PP members to do something different outside of the work area. Employees dressed in accordance with the theme of the party to compete in a best dressed contest with the marketing department. This would be exciting event for PP members because most are engineers and technicians who are not fashion conscious

6. BUILDING NATURAL DAM at Phaha (Countryside village)

In the dry season, the farmers in my hometown lacked water from nature sources. To solve this problem, local people had the idea of building sand sack dams to hold water from the canal in order to solve their farming needs. Money was collected to buy sacks and sand to build the dams. I had the chance to participate as a volunteer. At this event I saw many people who dedicated their time and energy to help each other solve a problem. As a result of this experience I was able to understand how people in the country could donate their time for free and come together to solve a problem. This was very different from city living.
